"The Start"

One of my earliest memories of elementary school was the start of each and every school day.
We would all stand up, face the flag which was hanging over the door, hold our right hands over our hearts and recite in unison the pledge of allegiance. After that we would remain standing, bow our heads and say the Lord's prayer.
